finally made it downtown to the electronic music festival. so, does anyone notice anything odd about the sign? like they spelled detroit wrong?

i finally managed to remember to take my camera with me this week-end. my photo album has been updated with pictures from dad’s b-day.

it was a normal day at work. fun-filled with emails, documentation, cc’s and yes, even “due dilligence.” at around 2 p.m. i found myself running down the hall, with my sprained ankle, to find everyone on the west side of the building. all eyes and hands and some ears were pressed up against the windows. there was a loose tornado like dark green sky and the most severe thunderstorm i have seen in a while (ok a month). it was so cool. so we all piled into stairwells, elevators & bathrooms. i’m sure that luciana was taking pictures (where are the pictures luciana? definetly shook us all up, for a second or two. and then it hit me. i really do want to be a storm chaser. i mean, i could do it. i’m sure i would need a little training in weather and so forth but it can’t be too different from being an interactive web producer? looking out for and tracking storms all day. really, i think i could do it.
but how? anyone? seriously…?

hot off the press… somewhere in germany, a childless couple is advised to try having sex in order to cure their infertility problem. i guess they hadn’t tried that one before.

with the help of text america i now have a photo album for my blog. this is a great tool for anyone with a digital camera or camera phone. and for now…its free! how do you beat that?

my brother has passed his boards. he is now a speech and hearing pathologist and we can officially call him mr. speech and hearing. this is good news, considering he has been practicing illegally for 3 years now – JUST KIDDING ADAM. seriously though, nice job!

i can’t believe that someone broke into the the hockeytown cafe to steal red wings memborabilia! i guess i shouldn’t be too hard on them. i mean, maybe they needed some hockey equipment real quick – you know to play in the square down the street – in the middle of spring.

so, is this some sort of bad sign? like the wings, as we know them, are so gone that people need to start collecting memorabilia?

i couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate mothers day than hanging out on the lake with my family, telling stories and laughing until it hurt. this was the first of what i hope to be many good times at the lakehouse.

i also got to see one of my best friend’s mom who came in from ohio to take her daughter and 3 of her other adopted daughters to canton for japanese food and baked goods. with a name like “pastry house hippo” i couldn’t resist taking some pictures. check out the little pig pastry – i think that’s my favorite.
