my friend introduced me to this great cuban restaurant in royal oak. its called cafe habana. awesome service (e.g. put up with my high maintenance breakfast partner).
i got an omelet with goat cheese and fresh slices of avocado. yum! i also loved the limeade but according to my friend from brazil, it has vanilla in it and is just not the same. i guess i will have to go to brazil to taste the real limeade. what a shame

I can’t believe you never been to Cafe Habana before! We like this place a lot, we have to go there for dinner
The first time I went there I ordered a limeade, of course, and right on the first sip I realized it had a weird taste. We asked the waitress how they prepared the limeade and she said they used a touch of vanilla in the water! I sent mine back, I couldn’t drink it! You know what they have that’s really original? Caipirinha!

There’s a good place downtown, too, called Vicente’s. The corn is very good at Cafe Habana.
